2. Good morning Berny. How are you? Did you sleep right? Did you rest well?

3. Today is such a pretty day, bright sunshine, colorful day... we're in spring now...

We're going to see the horses at the Fair, the Fenadi Expo. Berny just loves animals, you know cows, dogs, cats, and horses.

The little boy and spring

I. When spring comes Berny my little grandson gets excited,
He crawls up and down the hallway picking little pebbles up,
Rocks to put them in his mouth… he takes everything in his mouth…
He likes the challenge of it, the shapes and hardness.
Then the birds come singing, checking the place out to prepare their nest.
Don’t forget my allergies, oh the spring of the year and its allergies.
I suffer and sneeze, and Berny just looks at me.
He smiles at me and talks, baby talk, angel talk.

Childhood is innocence, the unique experience of a budding life.

Up to here is the First Radio Presentation
………………………………………………………………………………………

TIME: II. Little Berny follows me up everywhere, in the kitchen, in the living room,
In the bedroom and bathroom, he chases me up and down the house,
In a hurry and smiling, oh he is always smiling in a good disposition, morning or
Afternoon, Berny is an angel, a baby talking angel.
His pants are torn from dragging little legs on the cold floor.
His knees are sore from bending on the floor.
He plays Peek-a-boo! and I hide and say I see you!

Childhood is innocence, the unique experience of a budding life.

The birds of spring fly to a little wooden house
hanging on the house’s porch.
It is not yet a nest but it will be,
once the hay is brought up
from the fields of Ijui.

Mother bird is watching, perhaps attracted by
her partner’s cleverness,
and all this time Berny and I are wondering,
for this show of tenderness…

The garden is blooming, spring is here,
every creature is live and in gear
to get life alive…
sunshine is warm on my skin, time of the year
that everything is alive to get a new start

Berny little baby gets cranky, upset by the minute, rubbing his tired eyes, sleepy head
that needs to take a nap.
Let me take your tennis shoes off before going to bed; your drooling bandana off, and get
your pacifier from getting tangled under your neck.

Childhood is innocence, the unique experience of a budding life.

Let’s go out for a walk my child, take a step, take two…
Come on take step one, two and three, 1,2,3, and then four and five…
Good boy. Let’s go up and down.

WHAT DOES Berny look like?

THE GRAND CANYON OF THE COLORADO RIVER

Early morning the colors and hues are just goya’s. As the minutes go by you see different hues,
Tones and brightness that make this place unique. Blues are not blue but soft shades of a darker magma, a mix of colors yet to be revealed by the sun light. Reds aren’t red yet as the first lights of day are slowly creeping into the scenery. Blacks are everywhere, darkness reigns supreme until the artist’s palette rolls out. It is quite interesting to see the raw, bear colors of a natural beauty and wonder of the world, budding before your eyes, as if a new event,
A new present was being unwrapped before your eyes every morning. The canyon itself is a huge deep black hole, that entraps all light, mysterious silence of a natural miracle…

THE GIRL ON THE MOTORCYCLE A BRITISH STORY

INTRO PLUS TEXT TIME: 3 minutes Reading in English plus comments in Portuguese allowed time: 5-6 minutes

In the wee hours of April 5th 1989 Bob, a bike rider was speeding along highway A20 in Kent.
At exactly 2:05 on that early morning, Bob, the biker, suddenly saw a girl standing in the middle of the road hitchhiking. That place was known to be a dangerous spot for accidents.
When Bob stopped, the girl asked him if he could give her a lift to town. Bob asked her what was she doing there. She answered that there had been an accident. Bob looked around but couldn’t see any cars or bikes involved in any accident. Bob told the girl then, to jump on the bike’s back and off they went. Bob could feel her cold legs and body, as she was sitting in the back. Bob noticed she was wearing a light dress, as if she was on her way to a party.
Bob stopped the bike at the bottom of the hill to make a phone call. When he looked, there was no more girl sitting back there. Did she fall off the motorcycle? What happened to her?
Bob then went to the nearest police station, and when he told the officer what had happened, the policeman wasn’t one bit surprised. Then he told Bob that 10 years before there had been an accident on that exact place, and that a girl and her boyfriend were the victims of it on their way from a party that night. Since that time, several bikers had seen the girl . The accident had happened at exactly five past two.
